COMPREHENSIVE STUDENT SUPPORT IN TRANSPORTATION

Our student services division is dedicated to providing students with the support they need for a positive experience on their way to and from school. We work with nationally recognized leaders from Research 1 universities and top children’s hospitals to ensure our drivers, monitors and leaders understand student behaviors, the needs of each child, and how to respond appropriately.

Our suite of services reflect and support the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) mandate that students be placed in the least restrictive environment (LRE) based upon their individual needs.

LEAST RESTRICTIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT MODEL

Implementing the least restrictive environment model in student transportation requires a variety of vehicle options to accommodate student needs. We make the transition from more restrictive to less restrictive vehicles possible by providing positive, research based interventions students are familiar with in the classroom available on our vehicles.

When students move to the least restrictive environment it is better for their social and emotional development, and it lowers the per student cost of transportation for a district.
