Two First Student Customers are Finalists for Visit from President Obama

CINCINNATI — Two schools served by First Student are finalists in President Obama’s High School Commencement Challenge. The schools, Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kan., and Clark Montessori Jr. and Sr. High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, are two of the six finalists nationwide in the running to have President Obama attend their 2010 graduation ceremony.

The public is invited to rate the finalists athttp://www.whitehouse.gov/commencement. Videos and written submissions are available for review on the site and highlight each school’s achievements. Rankings are based upon the school’s educational success, ability to engage students and parents in the learning process, and success in preparing students for college graduation and future careers.

The three highest ranked schools, as voted by the public, will be submitted to the President for his final decision. Voting is open through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 29.
