CINCINNATI — First Student, the largest provider of school transportation in North America, is a proud sponsor of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) 5K event on Saturday, Nov. 9, in downtown Cincinnati.
The DAV 5K aims to honor the nation’s veterans and raise awareness for veterans’ issues and programs. Participants can walk, run, roll or ride a motorcycle on the 5K route, which will start and end at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati.
“We are pleased to support the DAV 5K,” said Linda Burtwistle, president of First Student. “We are fortunate to have among our employees so many talented men and women who have served their country so bravely. They are sharing many of the skills they acquired in the military which support the company’s vision of “keeping people moving and communities prospering.”
First Student provides transportation for sporting events, school programs, corporate outings and special events through its charter services division, which operates in the United States and Canada.
