CINCINNATI— First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, has named Bill Noftz as area general manager for Washington. Noftz will be responsible for the overall performance of First Student Washington state locations including financial results, operational performance, safety, fleet and maintenance.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work with Bill as he takes on this new challenge,” said Cal Hull, First Student Senior Vice President, Northwest Region. “I have every confidence in his ability to bring our Washington locations to a new level of performance and success.” Noftz has more than 25 years of experience in the school transportation industry. Prior to joining First Student, he was the transportation director for Santa Clara Unified School District and the Silicon Valley Transportation JPA. Noftz most recently managed the First Student location in Tacoma, Washington. He will continue to provide supervisory oversight to the Tacoma location in addition to his new role as area general manager.
