CINCINNATI— First Student Belleville recently partnered with Belleville School District 118, Harmony-Emge School District 175, and the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce in Illinois to “Drive Away Hunger.” The groups collected 12,300 items, enough to fill 10 school buses with non-perishable food.
“We strive to be valued members of the communities we serve,” said Donna Griffin, location manager of First Student Belleville. “We are pleased to help out such a worthwhile cause, and I am proud of my teams’ effort to help those in need.”
The items collected were donated to four food pantries in the area. This was the seventh year for the “Drive Away Hunger” campaign.
Many of the 550 First Student locations across North America take an active role in their communities throughout the year. Several locations have long-term partnerships with organizations within their communities who they assist on an annual basis.
