Linden Community Schools recently put on their 20th annual Linden Follies. The longstanding holiday event draws students and parents to enjoy the funny acts put on by the staff and faculty. This year our location in Linden, Michigan, joined in the fun. This was the first time the First Student team took the stage with their district partners.
The follies are fun for a cause. Ticket sales and donations taken at the door all go to local charities. This year the event raised the most it has in its history. A total of $7,900 was raised for the two designated charities — Christmas Express and Angel Tree.
Location Manager Laura O’Lewin shared, “The school was thrilled to have us as they celebrated their 20th year of the follies and were glad we finally put together an act! I was the originator of the idea; however, it wouldn’t have been a success without the participation of my team of drivers. They always keep the students and their needs front of mind and at the heart of their jobs.”
