First Student Drivers for Sayles Elementary School

In April, 2017, seven First Student drivers from Location #28005 in Baltic, CT accepted an invitation from Sayles Elementary School in Sprague, CT to participate in a school bus safety program.Instead  the students and school staff’s program was to praise and offer gratitude for drivers’ service to the students and the community. The presentation began with the Kindergarten class singing the song “TheWheels on the Bus” and was followed by Principal Diana Burns thanking each driver personally.   “School bus drivers are sometimes overlooked and really have such an enormous responsibility of getting our students to and from school safely every day. They really do a wonderful job. I want them to know how much we truly appreciate them.” Ms. Burns stated. The assembly concluded with each driver receiving a Certificate ofAppreciation.“I am so proud of my drivers,” said Location Manager Kelly Dixon.“They are so committed to the kids we transport and their unrelenting pursuit of providing a safe environment for their students is what makes them such great drivers.”
