ASE Blue Seal certificationTechnician in Charge Jon Bushey and Location Manager Carla McKinney at Location #34033 in Alberta, British Columbia are pleased to announce their location maintenance team has been recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Excellence (ASE) for achieving a Blue Seal of Excellence shop status. The ASE Blue Shield signifies that the shop is committed to an ongoing training and education program for its technicians and that those technicians display a level of proficiency in certain types of repair. To qualify to receive a Blue Shield of Excellence status, a shop must fall into one of the following categories and meet its specific criteria: 1. At least 75 percent of technicians performing diagnosis and repairs must be ASE certified. 2. Each area of service offered in the shop must be covered by at least one ASE-certified technician. Recognition under this esteemed program is held for one year. The shop status is evaluated annually by ASE to ensure professional certification credentials remain current. “I am very proud of Jon Bushey and his team on earning the ASE Blue Seal,” said Vice President of Maintenance John Finn. “This is the first Canadian shop to receive this prestigious award. The Blue Seal program demonstrates to our customers First Student’s high standards and that our technicians have knowledge and expertise to ensure the district’s children have a safe ride to school each and every day.”
