Minnesota FoodShare March campaign

April 23, 2015

Hunger is an issue for many students, which is why four of our locations participated in the Minnesota FoodShare Campaign. Employees collected more than 5,300 pounds of food and nearly $1,000 to benefit food shelves in the state. minnesota foodshare marchOur Minnesota locations in Anoka, Brooklyn Park, Champlin and Red Wing participated in the month-long campaign. Employees held “Fill the Bus” events to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations. “There are students in our community who depend on school meals for their primary source of nutrition,” said Central Region Area General Manager Phil O’Donnell. “We recognize that breakfast and lunch are important in contributing to the learning process throughout the school day, which is why this initiative is so important to us. We don’t want any students in our community to go without a meal this summer.” This is wonderful example of our vision in action … helping our communities prosper.
