Employees at our location in Lawrence, Kansas, recently showed their commitment to the community they serve extends beyond the school day. Employees held a fundraiser to benefit an area food bank. Just Food plays a key role in fighting hunger by supplying families in need in Douglas County with nutritious food. 
The location organized a raffle with items donated from local businesses. They collected gift cards and other prizes for the fundraiser. Employees sold more than $500.00 worth of raffle tickets. “We were proud to provide much-needed food items to help families in our community,” said First Student Location Manager Wayne Zachary. “Proper nourishment and safe transportation go hand-in-hand in helping ensure that a child has a successful day at school.” All of the proceeds from the raffle benefited the food bank.
