Caring for the communities we serve extends beyond the bus stop, as our team in Pine Bush, New York recently showed. Employees at location held a “Stuff the Bus” event to benefit area firefighters who were battling a massive brush fire.
Driver Mandi Cooper had the idea to collect supplies for the firefighters who were working tirelessly to put out the flames. The response was overwhelming. The community donated hundreds of items and filled an entire school bus in a matter of hours.
Mandi and the location wanted to give back to the men and women who put their lives on the line for the community every single day. She says, “I was amazed by the outpouring of love and support. The generosity of my team and the community really made a difference during a very trying time for these firefighters. “
A simple idea grew into a community initiative that benefited hundreds of firefighters, truly exemplifying our value of being supportive of each other.
