First Student Seeking Safety-Focused, Qualified Drivers to Join Teams in St. Joseph, Mo. Area

Company holding job fairs throughout May and June to fill positions.

CINCINNATI — First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, is holding job fairs throughout May and June in St. Joseph, Mo., to fill part-time school bus driver positions in St. Joseph, Chillicothe, DeKalb, Mound City, Oregon and Craig.  First Student seeks applicants who are committed to providing safe transportation and excellent customer service, and have genuine, caring attitudes for children. The company will provide all necessary training.

Prospective First Student drivers have the opportunity to apply at seven career fairs held at the company’s St. Joseph, 4713 St. Joseph Ave. The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on:

  • Thurs., May 19
  • Wed., May 25
  • Thurs., June 2
  • Thurs., June 9
  • Tue., June 14
  • Wed., June 22
  • Thurs., June 30

In addition, First Student will host two career fairs at the Missouri Career Center, 301 South Seventh St., in St. Joseph from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on

  • Thurs., May 26
  • Wed., June 8

Prospective candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to pass all background checks and drug screens. Driver applicants must have at least three years of driving experience and possess a valid driver’s license. They must able to safely transport students in a timely manner and complete all pre- and post-trip shift activities. Applicants should possess a sincere desire to work with the public, follow all traffic and corporate regulations, and meet additional company requirements.
