CINCINNATI — First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, will host a job fair on Tuesday, April 19, to fill more than 50 part-time school bus driver positions at its Hamden, New Haven, Clinton and Branford, Conn. locations.The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hamden CTWorks Center at 37 Marne Street in Hamden. First Student seeks applicants who are committed to providing safe transportation and excellent customer service, and have genuine, caring attitudes for children. The company will provide all necessary training for those interested in driver positions in need of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Prospective candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to pass all background checks and drug screens. Driver applicants must have at least three years of driving experience and a valid Connecticut driver’s license. They must able to safely transport students in a timely manner and complete all pre- and post-trip shift activities. Applicants should possess a sincere desire to work with the public, follow all traffic and corporate regulations, and meet additional company requirements.
