NASHVILLE — Continuing a tradition of celebrating excellence, First Student is proud to help announce Curtis Cain as the 2022 AASA National Superintendent of the Year.
Cain is superintendent of Wentzville School District, where he has served since 2013. With 17,350 students and nearly 2,700 employees, it is the fast-growing school district in Missouri.
In addition to overseeing tremendous population growth during his tenure, the district has scored within the top 13% of schools on the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests.
Cain received his award Thursday, February 17 during the AASA National Conference on Education at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Now in its 35th year, AASA’s National Superintendent of the Year® program celebrates the contributions and leadership of public school superintendents. Cain is the first winner from Missouri.
A proud partner in education to the more than 500 school districts it serves, First Student knows how vital superintendents are to the future and success of our students and communities. It is First Student’s privilege to celebrate their excellence in education.
