CINCINNATI —The National School Transportation Association (NSTA) recently appointed First Student President Dennis Maple to its board of directors. Through this position, Maple will assist the NSTA in identifying opportunities to provide school transportation professionals with the resources needed for school bus safety, affordability and efficiency. The NSTA is the only national organization that represents the interests and concerns of private school transportation contractors.
““I am honored to serve on the board of directors for the National School Transportation Association,” said Maple. “The safety of our nation’s school children is my top priority. I look forward to sharing my ideas and helping to develop practices which will benefit schools and students across the United States.”
As President of First Student, Maple works to provide solutions for an increasingly congested world, keeping people moving and communities prospering. He oversees the safe and secure operation of more than 54,000 yellow school buses across North America.
