CINCINNATI— First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, will continue to partner with West Warwick Public Schools in Rhode Island for the 2014-2015 school year and beyond. The district recently awarded First Student a new three-year contract.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with West Warwick Public Schools,” said Bill Roche, First Student area general manager. “Our team is dedicated to providing the safest and most reliable transportation possible, as well as outstanding customer service to the students, parents and schools within the district.”
First Student will add 18 new buses to its West Warwick fleet during the first year of the contract. First Student’s buses feature safety tools such as GPS tracking systems, the Child Check-Mate electronic reminder system designed to ensure no child is left unattended on a bus and crossing gates to allow children to cross in front of the bus at a safe distance.
First Student maintains a long-term relationship with the West Warwick Public Schools. The company has worked with the district for more than 20 years.
