Dr. Elizabeth Lolli

Dr. Lolli is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, where she earned both her bachelor’s and Ph. D. She earned her master’s degree in Education Administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Over the course of her career, she has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum coordinator, curriculum director, associate superintendent and a college professor. Additionally, she has served as a Superintendent for over 15 years in 3 different districts. Lolli is currently Superintendent in the Dayton City School District, one of Ohio’s Urban 8 districts.

Lolli has been a national consultant in the areas of multiage education, literacy, curriculum/instructional practice, and school reform. Lolli has served as a presenter/consultant in 35 different states. She also has been a presenter at numerous national conferences including ASCD, International Reading Association, National Council of Teachers of ELA, and the National Middle School Association conference. She has also recently served as a panelist on OLAC forums in Ohio as well as the National Superintendent Forum hosted by LSI. She is a published author of one book, Implementing Multiage Education with W.C. Kasten and a number of articles in educational journals, including ERS Spectrum, Principal, Literacy Teaching and Learning, Primary Voices (National Council of Teachers of English), and the OASCD Journal.

Dr. Lolli was BASA’s first recipient of the Betsy M. Cowles Women in Leadership Award; a recipient of the University Council for Educational Administration, Excellence in Educational Leadership Award; BASA Exemplary Leadership Award for Region 13; and the Outstanding Public Official Award by AFL-CIO; and BASA Exemplary Leadership Award for Region 9; was a one of two Finalists for the American Association of School Administrators Women in School Leadership Award 2021; and American Association of School Administrators 2022 recipient of the Save The Music Foundation’s (STM) 17th annual Administrator Award for Distinguished Support of Music Education. She has been named as The Dayton Business Journal’s Power 50 (most influential women) for 2021 and 2022.

Lolli serves on a number of boards in the Dayton area, including Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board, DSNH Community Engagement Committee (Boonshoft), Family Children First Council, and Dayton Foundation Scholarship Board, Dolly Parton Imagination Library Board, among others.
