Chief Business Transformation Officer Darrel Harris joined First Student in May 2024 after nearly 30 years of experience 
in operations and fleet-based business management.
As the transformation leader of First Student, Darrel continues to drive operational excellence, technological advancements, and sustainable corporate growth. Tasked with driving transformative initiatives, Darrel is dedicated to shaping First Student’s future through strategic innovation.
Darrel joined First Student from Yellow Corporation where he most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer. Darrel started his career in transportation at FedEx Freight, where he held various leadership roles in operations and sales for more than 17 years.
