Dr. Becky Meyer just started her seventh year as a Superintendent of Schools and her 30th year in public education. She served six years as the Superintendent for the Lakeland Joint School District 272 and just returned home again to the Lake Pend Oreille School District 84 as the Superintendent of Schools, where she had served 23 years in education. Prior to serving as the Superintendent of the LJSD, Dr. Meyer served in the Lake Pend Oreille School District as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Sandpoint High School Principal, LPO Alternative School Principal and as a K-12 School Counselor. She attended University of the Pacific for her undergraduate degree and received her Ph.D. in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Idaho in 2005. Becky is happily married to Jeff, and has three girls – a cardiac nurse in Phoenix, Arizona, a recent graduate of Westminster Nursing School in Salt Lake City; a cardiac nurse in Boise, Idaho, a recent graduate of the nursing program at OHSU/Eastern Oregon University; and a senior at University of Idaho, studying criminology and behavioral studies. When she is not working or spending time at school district activities, Becky likes to hike, snowshoe, and find adventures in the beautiful mountains of North Idaho.
