CINCINNATI — Jason Mangone, director of finance for FirstGroup America’s (FGA) First Transit division, is climbing the third-highest mountain in North America to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. On November 11, Mangone will tackle the 18,500 feet of Mexico’s Pico de Orizaba to raise awareness and solicit donations for the organization. Through his journey, Mangone hopes to encourage others to support Children’s Miracle Network’s mission of ensuring hospitals have the resources needed to provide top medical care to children across North America. Children’s Miracle Network is the official company charity of FGA.
“Recently, I was blessed to have a healthy son. Seeing the dedication of the hospital’s incredible staff toward all of their patients really struck a chord with me,” said Mangone. “I hope this journey will inspire others to donate to the Children’s Miracle Network and support the many amazing hospitals this organization aids.”
Mangone, an avid mountaineer, is paying 100 percent of the fees associated with the climb. All donations will benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Donations will benefit a Children’s Miracle Network hospital in the donor’s local area.
Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals across North America. The money collected for Children’s Miracle Network funds medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children each year.
