Florence, S.C. – North America’s largest student transportation provider expands its service in South Carolina.
Florence Public School District One recently selected First Student to improve the efficiency of its school transportation system.
First Solutions, a division of First Student which provides customized routing, maintenance, safety, and consulting services, originally provided the school district with a routing optimization study.
After routing services went out for bid, the district choose to continue its relationship with First Solutions, who was also the lowest bidder.
First Solutions will route approximately 60 routes for the district’s 14,000 students, ensuring the most efficient and cost-effective rides to and from school.
This is the second win for First Student in South Carolina in as many years. The company started operating Charleston County School District’s buses at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
