Christmas came early in East Lyme, Connecticut

December 4, 2015

The buses at our location in East Lyme, Connecticut, recently transformed into the “Madeline Express.” A young girl by that name in the community is battling cancer for the third time. Madeline’s family decided to celebrate Christmas early this year to ensure they would share one more holiday together.

The community of East Lyme surprised the family during their Christmas celebration by showing up in droves to sing Christmas carols. Our team at East Lyme donated the buses that transported the more than 200 people who turned out to participate. An article ran in the local paper about the event. Click here to read it.

The East Lyme team will again support their community later this month. Madeline’s wish is to have presents donated for other children battling cancer who are currently being treated in the hospital. The response to her Christmas wish has been overwhelming.

Location Manager Theresa Landry shared, “Our entire community has been part of this family’s struggle for the past few years. We will run the “Madeline Express” once more to deliver the presents to help Maddie’s Christmas wish come true.”
