About the Award:
The Superintendent of the Year program, sponsored by First Student and AASA, The School Superintendents Association, pays tribute to the talent and vision of the men and women who lead the nation’s public schools.
The 2021 Superintendent of the Year was awarded at the National Conference on Education on February 18th, 2021
The National winner of the award is chosen from the four finalists who are selected from state level winners.
State level winners are selected on the following criteria:

- Communication
- Professionalism
- Community Involvement
